Scope
- Earthing: resistance of system and protective earthing, continuity of equipotential bonding (installations below and above 1 kV, Turkish Regulation on Earthing in Electrical Installations).
- Electrical installations: protective conductor continuity, insulation resistance, loop impedance and prospective fault current; verification of automatic disconnection.
- Residual current devices (RCD): tripping current and tripping time tests.
- Lightning protection: inspection of external and internal lightning protection, down conductors and earthing measurements, TS EN 62305-2 risk assessment.
- Generators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS): periodic inspection forms.
- Fire detection: functional checks of fire detection and alarm systems.
Method and instruments
Measurements are taken with the Kyoritsu KEW 6516BT: insulation resistance, continuity, loop impedance, RCD and earth resistance. The instrument's measuring functions conform to the TS EN 61557 series and it has a calibration certificate.
Earth resistance is measured with auxiliary electrodes using the three-pole fall-of-potential method, or with the loop impedance method where auxiliary electrodes cannot be driven. On request, boards and connections are scanned under load with the Bosch GTC 400 C thermal camera.
Inspections are carried out and reported by our electrical engineers, who are registered with the Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) and authorised in EKİPNET for periodic inspection of work equipment. Lightning protection inspections and risk assessments are carried out by our engineer holding the EMO MİSEM lightning protection authorisation certificate.

Frequently asked questions
How often are periodic inspections required?
Annex III of the Regulation on Health and Safety Requirements for the Use of Work Equipment sets a maximum interval of one year for electrical installations, earthing and lightning protection systems. Points found nonconforming are measured again after correction.
We have an early streamer emission (ESE) air terminal; how is it inspected?
TS EN 62305 does not recognise early streamer emission air terminals as a separate protection method. In the inspection they are treated as standard air termination rods and the protected zone is calculated with the rolling sphere or protective angle method; where needed, recommendations to bring the system into line with the standard are reported.
What happens if nonconformities are found?
The report lists nonconformities in order of priority with corrective recommendations. After correction, only the affected points are measured again and the report is updated.
