Scope
- Internal installations: lighting, socket outlet and power installation projects.
- Distribution: LV distribution and board projects, compensation projects.
- MV: transformer substation and overhead line projects; connection projects for industrial facilities and organised industrial zone plots.
- Earthing and lightning protection: projects to TS EN 50522 and TS EN 62305.
- Calculations: short circuit (IEC 60909), voltage drop, cable sizing (TS HD 60364-5-52), protection selectivity, lighting (TS EN 12464-1).
Method and instruments
Every calculation is shown in the report with its inputs and assumptions; short-circuit and selectivity studies are carried out in ETAP.
For projects in existing facilities, load data is verified on site: hourly OSOS data or a Kyoritsu KEW 6315 measurement, and surveys of existing boards and cables.
Lighting calculations can be verified after installation with lux meter measurements.

Frequently asked questions
How long does project approval take?
It depends on the approving body (distribution company, organised industrial zone, TEDAŞ) and its workload. We shorten the process by submitting complete projects and responding quickly to revision requests.
What information is needed for a project?
Architectural plans (DWG), installed power and load list, the distribution company's connection opinion, the intended use of the facility and, for existing facilities, OSOS or measurement data.
Why does the short-circuit calculation matter?
The breaking capacity of circuit breakers and fuses must exceed the maximum short-circuit current (kA), while the minimum short-circuit current determines whether protection disconnects fast enough. Both values are given in the calculation report.
